Video Review Guidelines
TIPS provides the following questionnionare as a guideline for parents to reference when evaluating the quality of health instruction videos used for educational purposes.

1. Is the content in the film you are viewing appropriate for the age/grade level audience?

2. Are there subliminal messages in the tapes that you are not comfortable with?

3. Is the information up to date and accurate?

4. Is the material being presented in a scientific and factual manner?

5. Do you feel the intended messages of the video are being accurately understood by your child?

6. Is the information too explicit for the intended audience?

7. Are your values being represented in these films?

8. Will these films help your child to make good decisions?

9. Is the child's comfort level being exceeded by the content of any of the videos?
